Staff from The King's, tied down in the mundane morning rigours, decided to add some festive fun to their morning break to liven themselves up!
Male and female members of staff alike donned their best seasonal fashion accessory in a bid to be proclaimed 'wearer of the most festive tie'.
The competition was fierce this year and tempers soon became frayed, when the same style and design of tie (a job lot from a well-known supermarket!) kept appearing through the door into the staffroom. However, seasonal good cheer was quickly restored once the final judging had taken place.
Mr Johnson, who organises the event each year, said: "At this time in the term it is easy to get tied down in all the hustle and bustle of Christmas. This is one way the staff can ease the tension and have a laugh together. The number of entries this year has been pleasing."
Mr Dear, looking decidedly worse for wear after a hectic break duty, was highly commended for his entry comprising of flashing festive lights, bright baubles and tunes. The awarding of first place was difficult, with both Mrs Lawrance and Mr Crossley sporting creative and original hand-made designs.
In the end, the judge decided that the competition should be declared a 'tie', with all competitors helping themselves to the spoils, a tube of sweets. Yum!
