Carmen Wilson, a Year 7 student at The King's, was chosen as one of the three finalists out of 7,500 entries from across Teesside in the Cleveland Police Christmas Safety Competition.
Students across the region were asked to design a Christmas card for Cleveland Police to be sent out to various personalities on their Christmas card list e.g. Mr Gordon Brown, Prime Minister! Over 300 schools entered the competition with the standard being very high.
Carmen was chosen by judges as The King's overall winner and was put forward to represent the Key Stage 3 category. She was then chosen as one of the three finalists gaining second place overall winning an iPod shuffle for her amazing achievement. Her entry will be on display to the public during December at the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (mima) in Middlesbrough.
Well done Carmen.
