Result: Queen Elizabeth 'D' 1 - 2 The King's Academy
Scorers: Adam Robinson 2
Man of the Match: Liam Southall
On a heavy pitch TKA made heavy going of the conditions although they were sharper than the opposition. The first half saw TKA defend well with Craig Judd partnering Craig Robson at the heart of the defence in the absence of Alex Davies. Chances were few and far between but the better chances came to TKA but were not taken.
HT 0 - 0
The 2nd half saw TKA kicking down the slope and exerting a fair degree of pressure on the opposition. A goal looked likely but unfortunately it went to QE'D' when Liam Southall failed to clear and the opposition scored. TKA came back strongly and 10 mins later a strong run through the middle by adam Robinson was rewarded with a well taken goal. TKA were now dominating the game and MoM, Liam Southall, was making up for his error with some strong running and tackling. A free kick to TKA saw a flighted ball by Matty Nelson headed on by Adam Robinson and over the GK's hands for a well earned winner.
A good team performance.
