The King’s Academy opened as an 11-18 school in September 2003. The Academy serves a wide-ranging catchment area in south Middlesbrough, as well as providing an inclusive environment for students with Education, Health and Care Plans in one of our three specialist provisions for visual impairment, deaf and hearing impairment and higher learning needs. Since our opening, we have enjoyed great achievements and success as a result of an incredible amount of hard work and commitment from our students and staff, along with much valued support from parents and carers at home.

Inspired by our Christian ethos, which values everyone as equal in the sight of God, we seek to provide a supportive environment where every individual is challenged to discover their unique gifts and talents and inspired to excel and achieve their unique potential.

While we value curriculum excellence and academic achievement, our primary aim is to develop students’ character so that our young people are equipped to both achieve to the very best of their abilities, and to become inspiring leaders and valuable citizens in society.

Together with our committed and excellent staff team, I am delighted to welcome you to this website introduction of what The King’s Academy is all about.
