Parents’ Evenings

We strongly encourage parents to take a keen interest in your child’s education and one of the best ways of demonstrating this interest is to attend the annual Parents’ Evening. This is an opportunity for parents to talk with your child’s form tutor and teachers about how hard they are working and how well they are behaving. Other matters such as general attitude, attendance, punctuality, uniform, homework, rewards and sanctions may also be raised.

Prior to any Parents’ Evening, parents receive a full school report, with written comments from your child’s form tutor and teachers on their progress over the last academic year.

Any parent with a concern, of any description, is asked to raise it with the form tutor, or with the relevant teacher, or with a member of the leadership team. We will do all we can to address any concern you raise.

Attendance at Parents’ Evenings is typically high, with 90% or more parents attending the evening for their respective year group. We are keen, as far as humanly possible, to ensure parental attendance is no less than 100%.
