Vision Impairment Additionally Resourced Provision
We have a resourced provision for students with vision impairment. Students with a vision impairment are supported within mainstream classes with appropriate technology, Braille, modified print resources and in class support, as required.
Our QTVI provides support in the form of braille tuition, technology tutorials, specialist assessment, curriculum access and advice and guidance for teachers.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection report states:
“Pupils who access the visually impaired provision continue to achieve well. Appropriate adaptations are made where needed and pupils are included in all aspects of school life. Well deployed adults ensure that pupils are stretched, challenged and supported to progress well in their learning” (Ofsted, January 2017)
