A new start at a new school for Navdeep beginning her Sixth Form studies at The King’s Academy

For the past couple of weeks at The King’s Academy Sixth Form, my time here has been an exciting, brand new experience. I have settled in comfortably and become acquainted with new friends that have made my time here more pleasing than I would of thought. As I come to the Academy not knowing anyone it is great that I have settled so quickly onto my courses and feel a part of the Sixth Form. The opening few days away in the Lake District helped in a big way for me to make friends and have such a positive start and was great fun. I think that the facilities are perfect to be able to study independently when it’s my free time, while I also have the option to relax and socialise in the Common Room.

I am finding the teachers at the Academy are very supportive and want to help you get the best level of success that you can possibly get. I feel very welcomed by all the staff. I get regular feedback on my progress and the teachers are very approachable both in class and outside of the lessons. It’s hard work and its very different to school and GCSEs but I’m enjoying my courses.
